stuff

okay, just a quick update while john and i watch "peep and the big wide world " (easily my favorite kids' show these days)...
here's one of the 2 pieces i did for my pal "mafus" (aka matt wieringo, mike's brother) ... got a few more canson pieces to post over the next few days or so...

issue 2 of the next 'haps series is well under way with issue 1 in the can (luckily, we gave ourselves enough time on the schedule to go back and make minor corrections this time around... ) hope everybody digs it as much as we do...

so, the fall tv season is starting up again real soon (not sure if i'll get sucked into prison break again... but we'll see) and the summer shows are wrapping up (can't believe deadwood and rescue me are almost done already... both fantastic shows)

trish and i are are heading to the cape this weekend to see frank black down at the beachcomber (sweet place! saw bob mould there a few years ago)...

baltimore comic con is coming up real soon (i'll be at the show for a bit on saturday and all day sunday)... and only a month til wierd al's new cd...

Sweet Wonder Woman.

As for Prison Break, while I thought the show became a little far fectched toward the end of the season - even within the confines of the "prison break" genre - I'm willing to cut them a little slack as I think they were a victim of their own success. Remember, Fox's initial plans for the show were to run it the first half of the season when they had to take their big programing break for the baseball playoffs and then go to 24 after January so they could run that uniterrupted to avoid momentum killing repeats. However, Prison Break did so well in the ratings, I think Fox asked them to keep the boys behind bars longer than was originally intended so that a longer season could end on the break out itself. Unfortunately, this meant throwing out Michael's meticulous escape plan and going with something that strained even my credulity. I think that this season, once they address how the boys elude what appears to be sure capture at the air field, the writing will return to its early season form.

Hey C!

WW Looks "Mah-vel-ous!"

Hope all is well! Hope you didn't go crazy with the Sux, I mean SOX, this weekend..I LOVE the Sox, but Man those Yankees are doing a bad number on them!

Hopefully will catch up with you guys when you get back from the cape!

Hey Ray,

That ain't the Yankees, that's the Sox pitching that's killing them.

Starters who can't go five innings and young arms in the bullpen that have never pitched a full big league season is a recipe for disaster.

Craig,

What did you think of the season finale of Deadwood. Man, they really built the tension leading up to that final scene out on Deadwood's main thoroughfare. I imagine that if this had been the actual final episode, things might have gone down quite differently out there in the middle of the road.
