good ol' pointy shellhead...

so, i got out to see the transformers with my brother friday night... and i gotta tell ya, it was exactly what i expected... big, dumb, explosive... and fun. (but man, was i tired after watching that movie... like every other michael bay movie, the camera didn't stay still for more than five seconds...cut after cut after cut after cut, it became work to watch and actually figure out what was happening...)

got a slew of commissions going right now, keeping myself busy (along with the stuff todd and i are cooking up for the baltimore exclusive... and a gig for a former editor i'll tell ya about later)...

here's yet another canson paper piece... man, i dig the retro look of this armor so much more than today's suit ( and i can't wait to see eric canete's iron man book... wow!) civil war... bah.

heading up to fenway tomorrow (whoot!)... catch ya later,
-c
(my head hurts after the last john from cincinnati... but in a good way... and i can't get enough of flight of the conchords!)

While the retro tin-can Iron Man is fun, the pointy head one remains my favorite version and I too am looking forward to Eric's run on the mini-series.

Have a great time at the game and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the Tavarez is back to his form of a couple of games ago.

We made it to Fenway on Friday to see us dance with the Toronto Blue Jays. We lost but it was still a fun game. Found in inexpensive place to park and got to the highway without any of the Boyslton Ave traffic.
BTW: Just saw this on Comics Continuum:

PROOF #1

Written by Alex Grecia, art and cover by Riley Rossmo.

When FBI agent Ginger Brown got a promotion, she didn't expect her new duties would involve tracking down the world's most mysterious creatures. The Loch Ness Monster, Mothman and El Chupacabra are now on her "most wanted" list and her new partner looks an awful lot like -- Bigfoot!

Cover art looks a lot like our very own Bigfoot.

D**m, dropping two out of three to the Royals was not in the plans.

The boys have got to shake off this .500 streak and put some wins together.

The good news is that Schill had another good side session and is ready for his 3 inning rehab start in Pawtucket on Saturday.

I think the thing I like most about the Iron Man armor, is how far afield the look can change from book to book, yet the essence of the character remains intact. At its core it's still very much Tony Stark, but the outer shell can look like anything that the artist/writer want it to be. For instance, we can have the Whilce Portacio armor from a few years back (not great, but not bad- a tad on the busy side), while still having this more retro look that you've done, Craig. Oh, I have my preferences of course, but the armor is very mercurial in how much it can change yet still remain simply the covering for the man underneath.
