happy birthday, todd!

ugh... i've been under the weather these past few days (stupid cold and cough) as well as under the gun workwise (another one of those dc gigs i'll tell you about when i can), but i wanted to get a post up before day's end to wish a very happy birthday to one of my best friends and my partner-in-crime ("my other girlfriend", as trish is fond of saying), todd. hope it was a good one, brother!

so, boston made it to the a.l. championship against cleveland... gotta say, after the last few weeks of the season i wasn't sure they'd make it this far, but they've been playing great ball in the post season so far (unlike the yankees... ouch, although i really can't say it's torre's fault that they weren't able to produce runs)... here's hoping they can go all the way again.

patriots are playing fantastic ball as well, should be a good game with dallas next week (although it's way too early for all this 16-0 talk).

quick tv - reaper's damn good fun (love ray wise as the devil), the office has had brilliant moments (mostly the stuff without michael, who's become a caricature of himself - unlike the great bits with toby and creed), friday night lights, earl and 30 rock have started strong, chuck's been good fun, heroes.... we'll see.

and last but not least, another commission...

Jumping of the Heroes bandwagon already, huh? For shame...

I usually favor the royal blue paper for Supergirl, but that red makes me reconsider. Very nice.

The Sox got to face an A's line up missing some of their better bats and both Becks and Schill pretty much never gave them a chance to use their speed on the basepaths.

Cleveland is going to be a challenge and I think any of the 4 teams remaining can win this thing.

As for the Pats, this Sunday will tell us a lot about the team. Romeo was able to throw a few things at Tom, especially in the thrid quarter, that had our guy looking very average, but both he and the defense bounced back in the 4th.

Go Sox, Go Pats and glad to hear you're feeling better.

Nice.
The WonderWoman, too!

Please check out Pushing Daisises on ABC, Wednesdays at 9:00 pm. You won't be dissapointed. The show is a mix of Amalie, David Lynch and a sprinkle of Tim Burton. It's well acted, has interesting characters and under it all, a very cool premise to the series. Definately well worth watching. Bionic Woman and Journey Man haven't quite caught me yet, but Life has had 2 good episodes so let's see what survives the Fall.

Nice drewing C! I like that one a lot. As for Reaper, I'm loving that show as well. I've loved Ray since Twin Peaks.

Not much of a sports person so I can't comment on anything, but my best friend loves the Sox and Pats, so for all of you here's hoping they continue foward for their respective seasons.
